Who’s Really Running Power Ranch?

This photo was posted by Katharine Wick on February 8, 2025, from a campaign event of hers.
In it, she and fellow board member Ken Starks are smiling with Karl Huish—an individual who holds more voting power than any homeowner here.
How Does He Have So Much Power?
Karl developed 120 homes that were originally intended for individual ownership. Instead, midway through development Karl converted them into rentals, and now controls 120 HOA votes—more than entire blocks of actual residents. Now the real question….does this board represent the community—or Karl Huish?
And did you know Karl doesn’t live in Power Ranch? He doesn’t even live in Gilbert…..he lives in Mesa.
Ask yourself:
Why are Ken, Katharine, and Anh campaigning with him?
Why were his properties displaying their campaign signs?
Why pose with him? Feature him? Align with him?
When one investor from Mesa has more influence than hundreds of families who live here, and your board openly aligns with him—you have to wonder who they’re really working for.
I have another question no one seems to be asking: Did Karl help fund or support any of their campaigns? We don’t know, but the optics are hard to ignore. Katharine Wick said it herself in her Facebook post showcasing their photoshoot “We even had a few surprise guests ♥”. A red heart…the symbol of love, admiration, or endearment for a person that was a stranger before her campaign, that doesn’t live in Power Ranch, but now controls 120 HOA votes.
They endorse him. They defend him. And maybe, just maybe... they owe him.
We deserve leaders who live here, fight for us, and put our families before themselves or an investor from Mesa.
